About me
Colleen has over 20 years’ experience in Healthcare Leadership. Her work focuses on evidence-informed practice for effective change leadership, teamwork and communication, and culture transformation. She is passionate about the power of authentic engagement and design thinking to enable quality improvement. During her career, she worked as the Executive Director, Health System Improvement & Engagement and the Director, Innovation & Engagement with the BC Patient Safety & Quality Council (now Health Quality BC), the Manager of Quality, Patient Safety and Patient Experience and the Leader, Physician Engagement with Interior Health. Colleen earned her Master of Health Administration and her Master of Information Studies from the University of British Columbia. Colleen’s experience as a stroke survivor has shaped a more expansive view of the vital role of patients in healthcare quality improvement.
